The 2,150 catalytic converters and 14 drums of smelted catalytic converters were recovered at a business premises in the Dublin 11 area this morning.
Gardaí also seized €74,240 in cash and a vehicle during the operation.
It was part of an investigation into the theft of catalytic converters in Dublin and surrounding regions.
A man in his 20s was arrested and he was taken to Ballymun Garda Station.
