Gardaí have seized approximately €149,100 worth of controlled drugs following a search operation in Ballymun, North Dublin, as part of an ongoing crackdown on the sale and supply of illegal substances in the DMR North region.
The search took place yesterday morning, Tuesday 15th April 2025, and was carried out by the Ballymun Divisional Drugs Unit with support from the Armed Support Unit, Ballymun Detective Unit, and the Ballymun Community Response Team.
During the operation, officers recovered around €87,500 worth of suspected heroin and approximately €61,600 worth of suspected cocaine from the premises.
A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a Garda station in North Dublin.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed that investigations into the seizure are ongoing.
