UPDATED:Hampshire park on lock down following attack

Emergency services have been called to Glebe Meadow Park in Bishopstoke this evening following an attack.

Officers have placed the Park on lock down and police cordons have been put in place.

A man has been rushed to hospital after he was out walking his dog . He was attacked by youth who thrust a broken bottle into the middle age man face. This comes after a teenager was stabbed in the leg at the Eastleigh park.

Two people have been arrested by officers. They have been taken to Southampton central police station for questioning.

A second attempt was also made to try and attack the dog.


Paramedics from South Central ambulance service have also been called.

Detectives from Hampshire Constabulary major crime team have been also been called to the incident.

Criminal investigators have been carrying out house to house enquires asking the public if they have any CCTV that cover the park area.

Hampshire Constabulary have been approached for comment and are expected to release a statement shortly.
