Drama on the cliffs! Kent Fire and Rescue rushed to a tense rescue after someone got stranded near Marine Drive, Broadstairs.
Five Fire Engines and Coastguard Take Action
At 3:54pm on Thursday, 19 March 2026, a major emergency response kicked off. Five fire engines, the water safety unit, and the HM Coastguard were all scrambled. A Coastguard helicopter joined the hunt to speed up the rescue and keep it safe.
Miraculous No-Injury Rescue
After a nerve-wracking operation, the stranded person was brought to safety with zero injuries. Thanks to lightning-fast teamwork between Kent Fire and Rescue and the Coastguard, the cliff drama was over by 5pm.
