A man accused of a terrifying mass stabbing aboard an LNER train has been hit with new charges, including attempted murder of a teenage boy.
Anthony Williams Faces Fresh Attempted Murder Charges
Anthony Williams, 32, from Peterborough, is now facing two additional counts of attempted murder alongside previous charges from violent incidents on board trains and in London.
Nottingham Forest football fan Stephen Crean, 61, also showed bravery. After Williams confronted him asking, “Do you want to die?”, Crean was stabbed six times but fought back and locked himself in a toilet until police arrived.
Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander praised the quick thinking of rail staff and emergency responders, stating: “Their actions undoubtedly saved lives. It was a privilege to thank them for their heroic work.”
Public Urged to Stay Alert
Williams remains in custody as investigations continue. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
