In a tragic incident that shocked the community of Cork, a 41-year-old man appeared before a special sitting of Cork District Court on Sunday, facing charges of murdering his wife. Regin Parithapara Rajan stood accused of the murder of his 38-year-old wife, Deepa Paruthiyezhuth Dinamani, at their residence in Cardinal Court, Wilton, on July 14.
During the court proceedings, Detective Garda Alan Johnson provided testimony regarding the arrest, charge, and caution of Mr. Rajan. He stated that at 2.45 am on Sunday, at Togher Garda Station in Cork City, the formal murder charge was presented to Mr. Rajan, who remained silent in response.
