Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a person trapped following a crash on the M20 coastbound, in-between Junction 8 for Hollingbourne, Maidstone and Junction 9 for Ashford

Three fire engines attended, and crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to rescue one person from a vehicle, who was passed into the care of paramedics.

The M20 has been closed in both directions while emergency services remain at the scene. People are advised to check for traffic updates before travelling in that direction.
