A grim discovery at Toddler’s Cove, Canterbury, on Monday afternoon saw a man found dead, sparking a fast emergency response.
Emergency Services Race to Scene But Unable to Save Man
Police and paramedics arrived at around 12.30pm on March 11. Despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead shortly after.
His next of kin have been informed. Authorities are treating the death as non-suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
Park Area Near Children’s Playground Temporarily Cordoned Off
A nearby building close to the children’s play area was cordoned off during the investigation. All tape barriers have since been lifted, and the park is back to normal.

A Canterbury City Council spokesperson said: “We’re really grateful to a member of our Canenco grounds maintenance team who alerted emergency services and helped people at the scene until police and ambulance crews arrived.”
“Canenco is supporting those members of staff involved,” they added.
