London North Eastern Railway (LNER) has issued a stark advisory urging passengers not to attempt travel today as severe flooding wreaks havoc on its services. The company, renowned for its operations between Scotland and London along the east coast main line, revealed that substantial portions of its network have been adversely affected by flooding.
LNER is currently running “an extremely limited service,” cautioning passengers that trains may be subject to short-notice cancellations. Particularly significant is the complete halt of all train services north of Edinburgh, and due to road closures, no bus replacement services are available.
