Man arrested for offences of funding terrorism

A man has been arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences as part of an ongoing investigation by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command. The 34-year-old man was arrested on 14 March at an address in west London on suspicion of funding terrorism contrary to section 17 of the Terrorism Act (TACT) 2000. He was detained under PACE and taken to a south London police station before being released under investigation. A search was carried out at the west London address, which is now complete. Enquiries continue.
