Man Arrested in Twickenham Murder Investigation

A murder investigation is underway in Twickenham after a man was found fatally injured late on Saturday night.

The Metropolitan Police were called at 11:39pm on Saturday, 26 April, to reports of an injured man on Ellerman Avenue, Twickenham. Officers, along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, attended the scene and provided emergency first aid to a 38-year-old man suffering from stab wounds. Despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee, leading the investigation from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said:

“A team of detectives are working to piece together the circumstances that resulted in this tragic incident. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this difficult time.

“Officers will remain in the area throughout the day as they carry out further enquiries and gather evidence. Anyone with concerns or information about what happened should speak to them.”

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage who may have been in the area at the time to come forward. Information can be provided by calling 101 and quoting CAD 8005/26Apr.
