Detectives investigating a tragic double murder in Islington have charged a man in connection with the crime. Abel Chunda, a 27-year-old resident of Highgate Hill, N19, has been charged with two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, and possession of an offensive weapon.
Chunda has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, July 5. Meanwhile, a 17-year-old male who was arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder has been released on bail. Both individuals were taken into custody on Monday, July 3.
