A man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a woman’s body at a property in Havant, Hampshire.
Police were first alerted at approximately 9:42am on Thursday, April 17, after receiving reports that a man was walking alone along the M40 motorway, near junction 3. During their encounter with the man, he reportedly disclosed that a woman known to him had died at an address in Timsbury Crescent, Havant.
Officers from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary swiftly searched the property, where they sadly found the body of a woman believed to be in her 40s.
Following the discovery, a murder investigation was launched, leading to the arrest of Norbert Maiksner, 48, of Timsbury Crescent.
Maiksner has now been formally charged with murder and is scheduled to appear at East Hampshire Remand Court in Portsmouth on Monday, April 21, 2025.
A police spokesperson said:
“Our thoughts remain with the family and loved ones of the victim during this tragic and difficult time. We are continuing to support them as the investigation progresses.”
