Multi Vehicle collision on the M2 Motorway near Sittingbourne
Four vehicle have been involved in multi vehicle collision that has seen a mass of emergency services called to the scene. Police,Fire and Paramedics remain at the incident that happened just after 9.00am on Tuesday. One ambulance has been given a Police escort from the scene . that remains closed to vehicle.
SEC Ambulance service have also sent a HART Teams to the scene five ambulance have also been sent to the incident.
The entry slip from the A249 has been closed by Highways England.
There are currently long delays of at least 60 minutes on the M2 in Kent westbound between Junction 6 and Junction 4 due to the collision which has blocked the carriageway between Junction 5 and Junction 4.
Kent Police and Emergency services are currently on scene and being assisted by Highways England Traffic Officers. Traffic is expected to be released shortly.
Road users are advised to expect disruption and allow extra journey time. You may wish to find an alternative route or delay your journey.
