Murder probe following Hammersmith death

An investigation has been launched and a man arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in Hammersmith.

Police were called at around 7.50pm  on Tuesday, 5 May, to a seriously injured man at a flat off Fulham Palace Road near the junction with Hammersmith Square, W6.

Officers attended the location along with ambulance colleagues.

A man, aged in his 30s, was found suffering what are believed to be stab injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course. Officers are in the process of tracing and informing next of kin.

A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. He has been taken into custody at a west London police station.

Officers believe the arrested man and the deceased were known to each other.

Enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances.
