Murder probe launched in Hackney

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating following the death of a man in Hackney. Police were called at about 08:16hrs on Sunday, 18 March, to reports of a person found with stab wounds, on Towpath, Walk, E9. Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene. A man, aged 37, was found with multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene at 08:45hrs. Police are in the process of informing his next of kin. A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to a north London police station; he has since been released under investigation. A crime scene remains in place.
