Officers Are Appealing For Witnesses After A Woman Died Following A Collision In Richmond

 

Police were called at approximately 4.30pm on Tuesday, 30 March to reports of a collision involving a car and a cyclist on the A316 Twickenham Road, near to the junction with Richmond Rugby Club.

The cyclist, a woman in her 50s, was taken to a central London hospital where she was pronounced dead on Wednesday, 31 March. Her next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene. There have been no arrests and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

Anyone who saw the collision who has not yet spoken to officers, or who has dashcam footage which may assist the investigation, is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8543 5157.
