Emergency services are responding to a serious road traffic collision (RTC) in Bromley this afternoon, after a pedestrian was struck and is understood to be trapped under a bus on Elmfield Road, near the junction with High Street.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:50 PM on Sunday 23rd February 2025 involving a Route 261 bus and a pedestrian. Authorities have yet confirmed the circumstance of the collision that has prompted an immediate and large-scale emergency response.
Emergency Services at the Scene
London Fire Brigade, London Ambulance Service, and Metropolitan Police rushed to the scene following reports of a person trapped.
London Ambulance Service confirmed that advanced paramedics, alongside a London Air Ambulance trauma team, are on site to assist in the rescue and to provide immediate medical care once the person is freed.
Traffic Disruption and Public Advisory
Elmfield Road and surrounding streets, including parts of High Street, have been cordoned off to allow emergency services to work safely. The collision has caused significant traffic delays in the Bromley town centre area.
