An incident this morning involving a person being hit by a train has led to the complete blocking of all lines between Wimbledon and Sutton in South London. The incident has resulted in significant disruptions to South Western Railway services on Tuesday, October 24.
In a sombre announcement, South Western Railway stated, “It is with great sadness that we report a person has been hit by a train at Wimbledon Bridge. All lines are currently blocked between these stations while the emergency services work to deal with this incident.
