Car Crashes into Central London Landmark at Piccadilly Circus – One Man Fights for Life
A serious crash in the heart of London has left one man with life-threatening injuries after a black BMW overturned near the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain in Piccadilly Circus during the early hours of Sunday morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 5.25am following reports of a single-vehicle collision. On arrival, Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service (LAS), and London Fire Brigade found the BMW on its roof near the iconic ‘Eros’ statue, a landmark that attracts thousands of tourists daily.
A Met Police spokesperson said:
“At 05:28hrs on Sunday, 29 June police were called to Piccadilly Circus following a single vehicle road traffic collision.
A black BMW had overturned, ending up next to the Eros fountain.
There are road closures in place around Piccadilly Circus while our investigation continues.
No pedestrians were injured and no other vehicles are believed to be involved.”

A witness on social media wrote:
“The car looked like it had driven straight into the fountain. Roads around the roundabout are completely closed. It’s the busiest spot in London on a weekend – total chaos.”
