Tragic Motorbike Crash on Longfield’s Main Road – Police Launch Urgent Appeal
Kent Police are scrambling for witnesses and dashcam clips after a fatal smash between a silver Yamaha MT10 motorbike and a beige Vauxhall Zafira on Main Road, Longfield early Thursday morning.
Motorcyclist in His 60s Dies at Scene
The tragic collision happened just after 5am near the junction with Station Road. Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service pronounced the biker, a man in his 60s, dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
The Vauxhall driver suffered minor injuries but was treated on-site.
Police Hunt Witnesses and Crucial CCTV Footage
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) has launched a major appeal for anyone with dashcam, CCTV, or eyewitness info to come forward. They are especially keen to hear from people in the Hartley Road area who may have seen the vehicles before the crash.
“We are particularly keen to speak to anyone in the Hartley Road area who may have seen the vehicles prior to the collision or who may have relevant CCTV footage,” a spokesperson said.
