Regular closures on the Piccadilly line are set to continue through at least mid-October, Transport for London (TfL) has announced, as part of a long-term upgrade project preparing the line for a new fleet of trains.
“I get the need for upgrades,” said one regular Piccadilly line user at King’s Cross. “But the constant weekend closures are exhausting—it’s a guessing game every Friday night.”

TfL has pledged to keep disruptions as limited and predictable as possible, promising improved services once the new fleet is introduced.
