The incident happened at around 8.17pm on Friday 11th March 2022.

The road is likely to remain closed in both directions between Locks Hill and the A293 for some time, and motorists are urged to avoid the area.

Diversions are in place along the seafront via Trafalgar Road and Station Road.

Please contact Police if you witnessed the collision, quoting serial 1286 of 11/03.
