UPDATED:Police closed M25 after two sinkholes appear in the Central Reservation
The M25 motorway between junction four and junction five has been closed following a single vehicle road traffic collision and the discovery of a number of sinkholes. The collision has, in turn, lead to to the discovery of two sinkholes in the central Reservation. Officers from Kent Roads Policing have put in the closure and are now awaiting the arrival of a Highways England Road inspector. A diversion route has been put in place and Highways England has issued the following statement: The M25 in Kent is closed in both directions between J4 and J5 due to a serious carriageway defect. Kent Police" id="85778">Kent Police are currently in attendance and Highways England Contractors are en-route to the scene.
