Police have released CCTV footage of a moped rider and pillion passenger they want to identify and locate following a fatal collision in Hammersmith

The incident happened shortly after 6pm on Tuesday, 16 January in Talgarth Road, W14.

Ina Rodrigues, a 58-year-old woman, was crossing the road at the junction with Gliddon Road when she was struck by the moped.


Ina’s family continue to be supported by specially trained officers.

The moped did not stop at the scene and CCTV captured the moment it was abandoned a short while later before the rider and passenger fled the scene on foot.

Detective Constable Matt Jackson, from the Roads and Transport Policing Command, leads the investigation. He said: “Our investigation has managed to track the moped to where it was abandoned but we now need the public’s help to try and identify the two people who were on it at the time of the collision.

“Ina’s family has been devastated as a result of this collision and we need to provide them with answers as to what happened to their loved one. If you can help, please get in contact immediately.”

There has been no arrest and enquiries continue.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has information that could identify the people on the moped is asked to call 101 (24 hours) or the Serious Collision Investigation Unit witness line on 020 8543 5157 – please quote 6001718/24.
