Police launch murder probe after 10 week old baby found dead In property

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating the death of a baby girl. London Ambulance Service [LAS] was called to a residential address in Tottenham, Haringey, N15, on 31 January at 21:13hrs to reports of an unresponsive baby. Ten week old Lily-Mai Saint George was taken by LAS to the North Middlesex Hospital and was subsequently transferred to Great Ormond Street Hospital. Despite the efforts of medical professionals she was pronounced dead on Friday, 2 February at 13:35hrs. Next of kin are aware and formal identification has taken place. A post-mortem has been held – cause of death has not been determined, with further tests to be carried out. Police arrested 20-year-old man [A] and a 21-year-old woman [B] on suspicion of murder on Monday, 16 April. They were taken to an east London police station and have since been released on bail to a date in April. Enquiries continue.
