A loaded recovery truck has been seized after Roads Policing Unit (RPU) officers stopped it on the M4 — only to discover it was being driven illegally by a provisional licence holder.
The driver, who was not listed on the vehicle’s insurance policy, was pulled over during routine patrols. Upon further checks, officers found that not only was the individual driving without a full licence, but they were also uninsured to operate the truck.
Both individuals are now due to appear in court, where they could face substantial fines, penalty points, or potential disqualification from driving.
