A man is fighting for his life after a serious collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Rainham.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said:
“Police were called to New Road, RM13 at 20:18hrs on Friday, 25 April following reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian. Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated a 45-year-old man for serious injuries before taking him to hospital. The man suffered life-changing or potentially life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital.”
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is leading the inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the area at the time to come forward.
