Ryanair passengers are being warned to brace for disruptions this week and throughout the summer. The budget airline has alerted travellers to potential long queues at London Stansted Airport and flight delays due to factors beyond its control.

The ATC services have faced challenges despite no French ATC strike disruptions this summer, with flight volumes still five per cent behind 2019 levels. Ryanair reported that 19 per cent of its first wave departures on Monday (106 of 582 aircraft) were delayed due to ATC staff shortages. The airline described these repeated flight delays as “unacceptable” and expressed deep regret over the situation, stressing that it was beyond their control.

In related news, Britons travelling to popular destinations are advised to stay aware of potential disruptions. For instance, visitors to Morocco have been cautioned about possible protests and demonstrations, particularly in large cities. The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office advised, “Protests and demonstrations could occur across the country, particularly in large cities, often without warning. While authorized protests are generally peaceful, unauthorized ones have sometimes led to clashes between protesters and police.”

Travellers are encouraged to avoid political gatherings and follow local news and instructions from security officials to minimize the risk of disruption.
