Detectives investigating the fire at a property in Canterbury’s city centre have made a second arrest as enquiries into the incident continue.

Kent Police were called at around 8:45 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024, to assist Kent Fire and Rescue Service after a significant fire broke out at a building on Guildhall Street. Emergency services quickly responded, closing nearby roads and evacuating residents from adjacent properties as firefighters worked to contain the blaze.
Arrests in Connection with the Incident
On Wednesday, December 4, a 15-year-old boy from Ashford was arrested in connection with the incident. He remains in custody while further investigations are conducted.
