Serious Collision on m27 Eastbound near Fareham

A serious collision has closed the eastbound carriageway between junctions 11 and 12 this morning. The incident happened just before 7am. One motorist stuck in the chaos had reported seeing a motorcyclist laying in the road. Reports of 2 hours delays with queues building  Two lanes of the carriage way have been closed  The incident is involving a Vauxhall Corsa, a motorcycle and a BMW X5. Two other vehicle are believed to have also been involved in the collision Two ambulances can be seen at the scene along with Police and Highways England. A third ambulance has left the scene under blue lights. Recovery agents have also arrived at the scene to move the vehicles. The Motorcyclist involved in the incident near to the four lane section of the motorway has been taken to QA hospital in Cosham. There injuries are not thought to be serious. South Central Ambulance Service said it was called at 6.56am to five cars and a motorcycle. A spokeswoman said the motorcyclist had suffered neck, arm and leg injuries and that two other people had minor injuries.
