As Storm Isha sweeps across the United Kingdom, the Met Office has issued critical advice to help the public stay safe in the face of powerful winds, dangerous waves, and potential damage to buildings. With gusts of up to 90mph expected in some areas, safety precautions are paramount.
Two amber wind alerts were issued for the country, bringing unusual danger-to-life warnings and two amber weather alerts into effect from 6 pm this evening until 6 am tomorrow. Isha has also prompted a ‘tornado watch’ alert for Scotland (excluding the far North-east), while Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland remain at high risk.
