Firefighters swiftly responded to a fire at a suspected cannabis factory in Abbey Wood over the weekend. The incident occurred at a residence on Ampleforth Road, where it is believed that the house was being used for the cultivation of cannabis.

At 9.15pm on Saturday night, January 27, four fire engines and 25 firefighters were dispatched to tackle the blaze. The fire had already consumed most of the first floor and roof of the property by the time the emergency services arrived.
