The Possibility Of Airspace Restrictions As A Result Of Uncontrolled Re-entry Of Space Debris

The European Union Space Surveillance and Tracking consortium has been tracking a large space rocket (the Chinese-originating Long March 5B rocket) and believes it will re-enter the Earth’s atmosphere between Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31.

The potential re-entry path does not bring debris over the United Kingdom, but it may affect flights through Bulgaria, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, and Spain.
