Kent – Drivers on the M2 are facing major delays this evening following a single-vehicle collision on the hard shoulder.
Traffic is currently at a standstill between Junction 3 and the coast, with Kent Police attending the scene. Officers have implemented a lane one closure to create a safe area as they deal with the incident.
The crash follows an earlier breakdown that caused significant disruption, blocking one of the slip lanes. While that vehicle has since been cleared, congestion remains severe, with all lanes temporarily held as emergency services manage the situation.
Motorists are being urged to seek alternative routes where possible, as delays are expected to persist while police work to reopen the affected lanes.
