The family of Harvey Nye, a 19-year-old motorcyclist who tragically lost his life in a road collision on the A386 between Plymouth and Yelverton, have paid tribute to their “kind and caring” son.
A local memorial ride has been proposed by friends in honour of Harvey’s passion for motorcycling, with details to be announced once the family gives their blessing.
Police Appeal for Information
The A386 was closed for several hours while officers from the Roads Policing Team conducted an investigation at the scene. Police have thanked the public for their patience during the road closure and are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the police via their website or by calling 101, quoting log 288 of 14 February.
Remembering Harvey
Harvey’s death serves as a somber reminder of the dangers faced by motorcyclists on the roads. His family’s tribute highlights the loss of a young man who had a passion for life, bikes, and the people around him.
As the community grieves, friends and family hope Harvey will be remembered not just for the tragedy of his passing, but for the joy, laughter, and love he brought into the lives of those who knew him.
