Weekend Closures for Dartford Crossing West Tunnel Maintenance

Commuters and travellers using the Dartford Crossing tunnels and QEII bridge should plan as a series of closures are set to take place throughout the week. These closures, aimed at facilitating essential maintenance works, will affect both northbound and southbound lanes, with a full closure of the QEII bridge scheduled for Saturday night.

The closures are as follows:

Monday, May 13 – Tuesday, May 14:

  • A282 Northbound Dartford Crossing West Tunnel: 10pm – 5.30am

Tuesday, May 14 – Wednesday, May 15:

  • QEII bridge Southbound Carriageway: 10pm – 5am

Sunday, May 19 – Monday, May 20:

These closures are essential for maintenance works and ensuring the safety of all road users. The Dartford Crossing, a vital link between Dartford in Kent and Thurrock in Essex, facilitates a significant volume of traffic daily, making these closures necessary to keep the infrastructure in optimal condition.

It’s important for commuters to plan alternative routes or adjust travel times to avoid disruption during these closures. Additionally, travellers are advised to stay updated on any changes, particularly in adverse weather conditions.
