Westminster Bridge Closed After Person Enters Thames

Westminster Bridge has been closed to traffic and pedestrians after emergency services were called to reports of a person in the River Thames.

Full Emergency Response Deployed

At 5:34 PM, emergency responders received reports of  a person on the birdge and than falling in the river near Westminster Bridge. Due to the seriousness of the situation, a full attendance response was immediately dispatched, including:

Emergency services are responding to an incident involving a person in the River Thames near Westminster Bridge. A full attendance response is in place, and efforts are ongoing. We advise the public to avoid the area.”
