Yellow Weather Warning issued by Met Office for Monday

Heavy rain and strong winds will affect many southeastern areas of England on Monday. Spray and flooding is likely to result in difficult driving conditions and possible some road closures, as well as delays or cancellations to train and bus services Homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings Power cuts may occur, with the potential toaffect other services Some damage to trees and other structures may occur with some roads and bridges may close Heavy rain is likely to affect southeastern parts of England through Monday, peaking during the morning period. Accumulations of 25-35 mm seem likely widely, with 60-80 mm possible in places, this perhaps most likely for parts of Norfolk and the North Downs; the westward extent of these higher totals remains lesscertain. Strong winds are also likely with gusts of 40-45 mph likely inland, particularly during Monday morning, and possible gusts to 50-55 mph along exposed coasts and over hills. The weather warning comes into force at 9pm tonight and runs until 11.59pm tomorrow (Monday).
