A teenage boy was stabbed and then arrested as violent disorder barreled through Romford’s South Street last Thursday evening.
Knife Fight Sparks Police Rush
At around 5:30pm on 19 March 2026, police were called to reports of a fight involving a knife on South Street. While officers rushed to the scene, chilling new calls came in reporting a stabbing at Romford Station, forcing the station to close during the investigation.
16-Year-Old Hospitalised and Arrested
Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service, attended the scene promptly. A 16-year-old boy was treated on-site before being taken to the hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or permanent.
Shockingly, the same youth was arrested on suspicion of affray and remains in hospital under police guard as enquiries continue.
Police Hunt for More Suspects
Officers are now working to trace others involved in the violent disorder that tore through Romford. Police urge anyone with information or video footage to come forward.
