Appeal to Identify Motorist After Reckless Driving Forces Ambulance Off Road, Delaying 999 Call

Police are appealing for help in identifying a motorist whose reckless driving caused an ambulance on a 999 emergency call to swerve off the A339 near Alton, Hampshire, and crash into a ditch. The incident occurred on September 20 at around 11:15 pm, when a white car pulled out in front of the speeding ambulance, forcing it to veer off the road and flip onto its side.
In a statement, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said: “The ambulance was on a blue light run when it was forced off the road, causing a potentially life-threatening delay. We urge the driver involved or anyone with information to come forward.”

Anyone with relevant information, dashcam, or CCTV footage is asked to contact Hampshire Constabulary immediately.
