Armed Police on Patrol in Portsmouth Shopping Centre
Armed officers seen at Gunwharf shopping centre this morning. Hampshire Constabulary has put armed and unarmed patrols at “key locations” following the raising of the national terrorist threat to critical. In a statement, the force did not mention specific locations but said it was focused on “crowded places, including transport hubs and shopping centres.” The “critical level” means that an attack remains highly likely but the authorities believe a further attack may be At this time we need everyone to remain alert but not alarmed.
