Fire crews rushed to a blazing restaurant on Greenford Road after an alarm sounded at 2:14pm on Saturday, 28 March. The London Fire Brigade scrambled eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters to tackle the inferno.
Quick Evacuation Saves Lives
The fire broke out within the ducting of a ground-floor restaurant, with maisonettes above. Around ten people managed to evacuate the building before fire crews arrived. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
Fire Under Control After More Than an Hour
Firefighters from Southall, Northolt, Park Royal, and surrounding stations worked to bring the fire under control. The blaze was finally contained at 3:42pm after intense efforts.
Investigation Into Fire Cause Underway
The London Fire Brigade confirmed that its Fire Investigation Unit will probe the cause of the fire. Residents and locals remain wary while the inquiry continues.
