A man casually huffing nitrous oxide balloons in Maidstone town centre sparked a police probe that busted a huge ecstasy-making operation on the Isle of Sheppey. The wild sighting led to the arrest and heavy sentencing of brothers Bryn and Connor Graham.
Nitrous Oxide Balloon Sparks Police Hunt
On the evening of Friday, 4 October 2024, CCTV spotted 23-year-old Bryn Graham inhaling gas balloons on Week Street. Police stopped and searched him, uncovering bags of yellow tablets, white powder, and £240 cash stuffed in his bumbag.

Officers then raided his home in Eastchurch, finding thousands in cash and large quantities of ketamine, MDMA, and amphetamines. Industrial pill-making equipment was seized from the garage, revealing an industrial-scale drug lab.

Brother Connor is already behind bars – Together They Ran a Drug Empire
While Bryn was bailed, detectives checked his phone messages, exposing a vast drug production and supply network run by him and his 27-year-old brother Connor, who was already serving time for similar crimes.

Both men were arrested again on 14 December 2025. Police found even more pill-making equipment, two kilos of MDMA, 5,000 ecstasy pills, cocaine, and £1,800 in cash at their home.
Heavy Sentences for Drug Kingpins
- Bryn Graham got 7 years
- Connor Graham took 9 years 3 months
They pleaded guilty at Maidstone Crown Court to producing MDMA and supplying ketamine and amphetamines. Bryn also faced cocaine possession charges. Both brothers breached suspended sentences, leading to even harsher punishments.
Detective Constable Steve Brown said: “This was a significant sentence for two men who were instrumental in an industrial-sized pill production enterprise. The sheer number of pills seized showed how many lives could have been ruined.”
“Besides jail time, the Graham brothers now face a Proceeds of Crime hearing to strip them of their ill-gotten gains.”
