Coastguard Rescue Teams called to Freshwater

Coastguard teams have this afternoon been called to the freshwater area on the Isle of Wight, Two rescue teams from MCA Coastguard based at Neddles and Ventnor have been called out to the incident to support the Police after clothing was found. A spokeswoman for the MCA said:At 1.50pm this afternoon (7 April) Hampshire Police requested assistance from the UK Coastguard at an incident at Tennyson Down, Isle of Wight. Needles and Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Teams have been sent to the area, alongside Hampshire Police. No further details will be added to this article due to the nature of the incident.
