Fly-tipping Fiends Dump Deadly Asbestos in Test Valley!

Test Valley Borough Council is on the hunt for witnesses after a dangerous fly-tipping spree in Roman Road, Broughton, and West Tytherley. Since January, crooks have dumped load after load of builders’ bags and chemical drums – all suspiciously similar – in these quiet spots.

Deadly Asbestos Dumped in Quiet Villages

Councillor Graham Stallard, Environmental Portfolio Holder, slammed the toxic crime: “Asbestos is a deadly substance that releases cancer-causing fibres when damaged. This rubbish isn’t just illegal – it’s a public health nightmare.”

Council Pleads for Witnesses

The council wants anyone who spotted suspicious vehicles or dumping to step up. They’re particularly keen to hear about any local businesses that suddenly got rid of large amounts of asbestos.

“Fly-tipping is illegal and dangerous. Asbestos needs specialist removal, which makes it costly to clear,” said Councillor Stallard.
