A serious collision has slammed the A20 eastbound at Roundhill Tunnel in Kent, forcing a full carriageway closure. The crash, involving a car and a lorry, has shut the stretch between M20 Junction 13 near Folkestone and the A260 near Hawkinge.
Kent Police and National Highways Traffic Officers rushed to the scene. Barriers were badly damaged, and recovery teams are now en route. Traffic is trapped, but officers are turning vehicles around to ease the mounting congestion.

Follow the Hollow Circle Diversion – Avoid the Jam
Eastbound drivers must follow the hollow circle diversion signs:
- Leave the M20 at Junction 13 onto A259 Churchill Avenue.
- Head east to the A260 Canterbury Road roundabout.
- Take the A260 northbound exit.
- At Spitfire Way roundabout, take the third exit back onto the A20 coastbound.
