Cyclist left with fractured skull following collision

Police officers are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist suffered a fractured skull following a collision with a taxi in Portsmouth. Officers from Hampshire Police  were called to Cambridge Road, Portsmouth, at the junction with the roundabout, following a collision involving a car and a cyclist at 5.15pm on Friday, April 27. The 68-year-old cyclist, a man from Portsmouth, suffered a fractured skull and is being treated at Southampton General Hospital" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="200808">Southampton General Hospital. The male driver of the blue Skoda Octavia taxi was uninjured. PC Andy Daw, from the Joint Roads Policing Unit, said: “This was a busy time of the day so we would like to hear from anyone who saw this incident. “The cyclist had been travelling from St George’s Road towards Museum Road and the car was on Cambridge Road, so if you saw either before the collision please get in touch. “We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who has any dash cam footage.” If you have any information relating to this case, please call 101 quoting reference ‘44180155799,
