In a tragic escalation of the Israel-Gaza conflict, more than 60 people have been killed after an Israeli airstrike targeted a school in Gaza City early Saturday morning. The Tabeen school, located in central Gaza City, had been repurposed as a shelter for civilians displaced by ongoing hostilities.

According to Palestinian health authorities, the strike not only claimed the lives of over 60 individuals but also left at least 47 others wounded. The school was reportedly housing hundreds of people who had fled their homes due to the relentless bombardment in other parts of Gaza.

This latest incident adds to the mounting civilian toll in the region, as international calls for a ceasefire continue to grow louder. The situation in Gaza remains dire, with both sides suffering significant casualties amid the ongoing violence.
