A marked police car dramatically left the road and became lodged on top of a hedge in south Devon on Monday afternoon, causing temporary traffic disruption on the B3392 near St Ann’s Chapel.
The incident occurred at around 12:30pm, with the vehicle coming to rest in a suspended position above a roadside bank. Images from the scene show the police car perched on the hedge, while officers and two additional patrol vehicles attended to the situation.
No Injuries Reported
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that no one was injured in the single-vehicle incident. The road was temporarily closed to allow for vehicle recovery and reopened at approximately 2:45pm.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area during the road closure. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
